Champion Bus, Inc. is introducing the CTS Rear Engine Model bus for the new model year. The new mid size CTS Rear Engine bus features a sleek new exterior design plus all-new automotive-style interior appointments. CTS models are available with either the Freightliner XB 555R, XB 655R or XB 755R chassis. CTS will range in capacities from 8 to 37 passengers, with a variety of gross vehicle weight ratings. Lengths vary be floorplan. With a variety of seating arrangement due to the steel rail floor mounts and easy clean up with the rubber flooring. Each model has options for the chassis and engine sizes. Custom orders are welcome to accommodate any of your special needs which makes Champion Bus the company for you.

Champion Bus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thor Industries. Champion was founded in 1953 and in 1972 built the facilities that currently house the operation that began producing Cutaway buses in 1981. In February 1998, Thor Industries acquired certain assets including Champion Bus, Inc. from Champion Enterprises of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Champion Bus is located on 73 acres in Imlay City, Michigan. With over 194,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 250 dedicated employees, they are able to produce over 1,200 mid-size buses per year.
Since 1999, Champion has been ISO certified and is currently registered as ISO 9001:2000. Champion was also the first bus company to be QVM certified by Ford Motor Company. The majority of the Champion Bus products have been tested at the Federal Transit Authority's, Altoona Pennsylvania, testing facility and all products are in compliance with Federal Motor VehicleSafety Standards. |
